We were required to manufacture and install bespoke portal frames for housing collapsible gates to aid station staff once the Night Tube went live at Canning Town, Liverpool Street, London Bridge & Piccadilly Circus Stations.  The frames were made from powder coated structural steel members and bolted together to form the frame with end posts resin anchor-fixed directly into the existing structural concrete slab.

The top cross member was raised into position by mechanical means and bolted to the end posts.  Finally the top track was fixed to the top cross member, the bottom track fixed flush to FFL within existing finishes and the surrounding area made good.  The collapsible gates were then installed with an operational test completed prior to handover.

Additionally, at Canning Town Station bespoke galvanised screens were manufactured and installed to prevent unauthorised access over the side walls of the existing concrete staircase, adjacent to the new collapsible gate.
