Tottenham Court Road Station: – Hoardings

Project: Tottenham Court Road – Hoardings

Client: TfL

Works Value: £45,000

Three one hour fire rated hoardings were installed to three different passages off the adjacent concourse to the new Cross Rail Station at Tottenham Court Road:

D&D were also asked to remove these hoardings and replace them all in one shift to allow for Air Velocity Testing to take place.

All plant and materials for these works work were loaded out on a previous shift.

On the night all three hoardings were removed and stored in a designated location. This was achieved by midnight to allow for the Air Velocity Testing to commence, and then upon completion of the test the hoardings were re-instated and the areas cleaned and cleared before the station opening time.

The following feedback was received from the Client:

“Morning

Something I should have done yesterday but I wish to convey my thanks to all who attended the TCR Hoarding works on Sunday night / Monday morning, that was an exceptional piece of works carried by all your operatives, please convey my thanks”.

The client press release was as follows:

“CRL Tottenham Court Rd Air Velocity test, LUCT managed the process of removing three temp 1 hour fire rated hoardings that segregated the CRL and LU stations, contractor D&D Rail carried out some exceptional work to meet the tight deadlines set by CRL, the removal of these were carried out during traffic hours with the public still passing adjacent to the work sites, all works were planned down to finite detail to ensure the deadlines were met but enduring public and operative safety, well done to all”.
