As part of London Underground Limited’s 3 Year Escalator Refurbishment Plan, we carried out cleaning and painting works within Escalators 1 & 3 Upper and Lower Machine Chambers at Brixton Station.

We cleaned and de-greased heavily soiled areas and used a specialist anti-slip paint to redecorate the floors, plinths, steps, incline stairs and nosings.

We also cleaned gullies and Aco drainage with an approved de-greasing agent so the water could flow freely down the drainage channels and not create a water ingress issue as a result of the build-up.

All existing assets had to be carefully protected for the duration of the works and works were carried out by our specialist L&E team, who are in possession of all relevant certification including Machine Room Awareness training.
