Project: Leicester Square – Central Kiosk Redecoration
Client: Tube Lines Limited – BCV Minor Works
Works Value: £3,800
The Centre Kiosk area was originally empty and used for a floral display when the station first opened. The circular central glass area was built later and used as a display unit before becoming a control room. The centre kiosk area is a control room these days with a useful train departure indicator. The requirement for this scope was to redecorate the walls as the room is highly visible to passing public and customers can enter the control room.
D&D Rail removed all assets from the walls, filled, prepared and painted the wall areas white to make the room more aesthetically pleasing for public view.
