Project: Marylebone Station Escalator Replacement Civil & Premises Work (Phase 1)

The project is the replacement of Escalators 1 & 3 at Marylebone station, removing the staircase and replacing with an additional escalator (E2). It is essential to keep the station running as normal whilst replacing the escalators within a sequential sequence comprising of E2, E3 then E1 (conducted via phases 1 to 3 respectively).
We have currently completed Phase 1 works, with Phases 2 and 3 to follow.
Phase 1 works:-
- VE Panels Removal above the Gate Line
- Partial demolition to ticket office
- Permanent and temporary propping to Lattice beams
- Replace existing door and gate to the UMC with new
- Installation of access ladder in LMC
- Deep Cleaning to UMC, LMC & Incline
- Replacement of LMC Sump Covers
- Formation of trench in UMC with Durbar plate covers
- Relocation of Glap
- Temporary repairs to gate line area where gate line has been relocated
- Demolition to Plinths in the UMC & LMC including floor repairs
- Demolition to Capping on incline walls
- Formation of cut outs for incline support steels
- Formation of incline steel support bases
- Making good to incline capping and cut outs
- Plinth formation for columns in UMC
- Installation of steels and concrete slab in the LMC
- Installation of steels and concrete slab in the UMC
- Installation of Incline Support Steels
- Installation Survey of all Steel work
- Installation of pulling points
- Installation of Storage Area on the Network Rail Platform 3
