Totteridge & Whetstone Station underwent a modernisation & enhancement programme. D&D Rail Ltd carried out repair work to all areas of the station, this included repairs and modernisation to the existing main building, repairs and modernisation to platform buildings / waiting rooms etc. and platform paving drainage channels and tactiles etc. This work was carried out during Traffic and Engineering hour working times.

The main station building underwent modernisation to the ticket issuing office and mess rooms. New suspended ceilings were fitting to all staff areas and the booking hall / circulation area. Replacement floor coverings were laid within the booking hall & circulation area and new raised computer flooring was installed in the ticket suite.

Damaged flag stones, nosing stones on the platform were identified and replaced with new slabs and nosings, also at this time tactile paving was laid.

Sample bricks were sourced by D&D Rail Ltd and supplied to LU for approval. Once suitable match was found and approved extensive brickwork repairs and re-pointing was carried out to all areas of the station main building and platform buildings.

Following on from all modernisation and enhancement work the whole station underwent a deep cleaning process prior to hand over to LU along with all relevant health and safety files and documentation.
