Project: Wood Green Station – Cable Protection

Our task was to install a dricon ply barrier to protect a run of connect cable trunking underneath Escalator One.  The reason for this was to prevent any damage from the Escalator Truss Removal Works which will be carried out under hot works procedures utilising Oxygen/Acetylene methods.

A frame of dexion was first installed to the existing substrate and wall along the length of the engineering stairs.  This was followed by the application of dricon ply to the dexion ensuring there were no gaps left for sparks or flame to escape into.

Works were undertaken during Engineering Hours with the escalator being isolated and locked off during this activity to prevent any unauthorised movement

LUL approved materials were utilised throughout these works.
